In 2020, designer Guo Pei partnered with Disney to create couture-worthy Lunar New Year costumes for Mickey and Minnie Mouse. These embroidered costumes were featured at Shanghai Disney Resort and Disney California Adventure Park from Lunar New Year Day through February 9. Limited-edition merchandise, including plush toys and Lunar New Year items, were available. As part of Guo Pei's design team, I communicated with Shanghai Disney Resort to design multiple merchandise items for this special event.
